We started our vacation by heading into the Grand Tetons National Park. Although it gets busy during the summer, we were lucky to snag a room at the Jackson Lake Lodge, which has a stunning view of the Grand Teton Range.
Our room was in the cottages, which were clean and simple. The joy of the lodge is the big common room, with huge picture windows of the Grand Tetons and free wifi.
The great benefit of staying here was the ability to get out to photograph the mountain range at dusk and dawn.
So this is where you get to see the same set of mountains photographed in different kinds of light, kind of like Monet - except without all the hard painting.
