Our main aim on this trip was to hike, so now we were in the Tetons we were able to get started with a hike along Cascade Canyon (9 miles, 1000' ascent). It was a perfect day to be out in the mountains.
The hike begins with a boat ride across Jenny Lake
We then take a well-trodden path to Hidden Falls. (But since we started early in the morning, we didn't have to tread it with lots of people on our way into the canyon.)
Then we ascend a short way to Inspiration Point, where we get a fine view back to the east over Jenny Lake.
Once past Inspiration Point we leave what few early morning crowds there were behind as we work our way into the canyon.
