Yellowstone has its own Grand Canyon, which isn't as impressive as the one in Arizona, but was still worth a look after our hike in he Hayden Valley.
Yellowstone sufferred from major fires in 1998. So over large areas of the park there are dead burned trees. But there are also young trees growing to take their place.
This was all the same day as our early start in the Lamar Valley and our hike in the Hayden valley. And on our drive back to our motel we saw one last bit of wildlife, a bear and two cubs.
